Congratulations! Update: Just got word that the wedding is set for Aug. 4 at the LDS temple in Detroit. Reception is Aug. 5 here in Grand Rapids.

Nancy sent these photos from Jonathan’s Eagle Scout banquet. He now joins older brother Jeff in this accomplishment. Congratulations to him!
Everybody’s favorite basketball coach, MSU’s Tom Izzo, spoke at the banquet.

Ready for the Prom
Meg was busy this year, working on the yearbook and on the Prom committee. So of course she had to go to the Prom! She was so excited … paid for almost everything herself: dress, shoes, nails, hair — the only thing we bought was her ticket. Dan, a good friend of hers and Sus’s from church, was happy to be her escort.
They dined with friends at Bistro Bella Vita (one of my own favs) before the dance. Afterwards the went out for a snack before going to midnight bowling. I hear she got in about 2 a.m. and when I got up this morning, there were two girls’ dresses on the hamper in the bathroom, two pairs of silver sandals and two beautiful girls sound asleep in Meg’s room. I guess her girlfriend didn’t quite make it home (with mom’s permission, of course).
