Off to the Homecoming dance
Suze and Mike work together at Jett’s Pizza. He attends Rockford High. They went to his Homecoming, but not hers at FHE. We barely knew she was going. She borrowed a dress, did her own hair — bought nothing in the way of shoes or accessories that I know of, although she did do one or two sessions in the 
tanning booth. In fact, Homecoming this year had almost none of the fanfare of previous years (Meagan didn’t really even consider attending hers). Maybe it’s more special the first couple of years in high school, when it’s a new experience. Maybe it’s not so cool to get all excited about Homecoming when you’re a senior. I do know that Suze had more fun this year than she did in other years. I guess that’s what really matters.
